Site Manager - Taupo

RobLawMax is hiring for an experienced Site Manager to work on a commercial construction project in Taupo. This position will suit someone who is practical, organised, and confident leading site operations in a fast-paced construction environment. You will be comfortable taking ownership on site, working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and crews to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

You will take overall responsibility for day-to-day site management, coordinating people, plant, and materials while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met. As the senior on-site representative, you will proactively manage programme, cost, and performance, resolving issues as they arise and driving positive outcomes for the project and wider business.

Role Summary

• Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects on site
• Lead, manage, and support site teams, subcontractors, and trades in a hands-on leadership role
• Ensure construction programmes are tracked, updated, and delivered to agreed milestones
• Maintain strong control over quality, safety, environmental, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate site logistics, materials, plant, and temporary works to minimise delays and cost overruns
• Manage site administration, reporting, documentation, and variation processes
• Act as the key on-site point of contact for project managers, consultants, clients, and stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement in site processes, safety performance, and team culture

Desired Experience

• Proven experience in site management, construction supervision, or project delivery
• Strong understanding of construction programming, cost control, and quality management
• Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to motivate teams and manage subcontractors
• Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in construction
• Confident operating autonomously while maintaining strong communication with project leadership
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to changing site conditions
